Puberty is a time of awkward change for most and can be filled with dread or doubt because of what kids don’t know or may have heard that is incorrect. Changing U is a class designed to help young girls begin to talk about puberty and have a basic understanding of what to expect. Join Registered Nurse, Jodi Kaye to help open up communication in a fun and positive way while encouraging girls to establish a comfort level talking about these changes with mom or another trusted adult.

Changing U is a great beginning course for mothers and daughters! The focus of this course is on communication and strengthening the mother-daughter bond through conversation and working together. The activities in this class help mothers and daughters to share information and get to know each other even better. Moms and girls work together towards a common goal of opening the lines of communication while learning about hygiene, self care, combatting negative self talk, and the basics of menstruation.

*At least one tween and one parent/caregiver must be present to participate. This class will be presented using Zoom and it is recommended to login using a computer or laptop device that has a camera which will allow you to be interactively involved with the group. If possible, please have an additional device (such as a cell phone or tablet) that is capable of text messaging, in order to fully participate in our online discussion. (If mom is not available, dad is welcome to join).
