About The Rites of Passage

For years, parents have often struggled with how to find the right words to discuss puberty, reproduction, and sex with their children. This can be due to an overall discomfort with the subject matter, difficulty understanding when is the right time, and many times just because we have no example to go off of as many of us never had these talks with our own parents when we were children.

Welcome to The Rites of Passage, where it is our strong belief that educating parents and children together has become the new foundation for beginning these conversations in a fun and non-threatening environment.  Let us teach the facts for you, allowing parents and children to begin these discussions in a safe and supportive way.  Long past the classroom setting, our classes give you the ability to take the information that you have learned and to continue talking with your children while sharing the beliefs and values that are vital to your family.  Our programs have been designed to encourage discussion, promote comfort, and have fun, all while learning about our bodies and the many amazing things that they are capable of.

It is our pleasure to help you through developing and teaching your children about the life changes they experience as they transition through puberty and beyond. We hope that you will join us in this exciting process and we thank you greatly for your business and interest.

Jodi Kaye, RNC, BSN

Founder / Educator

Jodi Kaye was born and raised in Arizona and is the mother of three daughters. She has been a Registered Nurse for almost 20 years.

Jodi's nursing career has had a primary focus on women and children’s health, with a specialty of Labor and Delivery and Bereavement Counseling. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree and has obtained National Certification in Obstetric Nursing. Motherhood and her career have led to a love and appreciation for teaching, parenting, and addressing children’s issues.

Jodi began teaching puberty education classes to help others contribute to the growth and education of their children and has been helping families to openly discuss puberty and adolescent stages since early 2013. She has found that the best way to accomplish this is by developing and delivering high quality educational workshops meant to encourage and strengthen the parent-child relationship and communication methods.

Jodi has been a resident contributor for North Scottsdale Pulse magazine. She has been featured in Raising Arizona Kids Magazine as well as on Arizona Midday Channel 3 and Sonoran Living Live ABC15. She has presented as a speaker for The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH) conference in Austin, TX.
